What are you working out?

01

Save on tax

A ₹1.5 lakh ELSS investment can save you ₹46,800 in tax in a single year — in the 30% slab, it effectively costs just ₹1.03 lakh.

02

Plan a loan

On a ₹50 lakh home loan at 9% for 20 years, you pay ~₹58 lakh in interest — more than the principal itself. Prepaying ₹1 lakh a year saves ~₹20 lakh.

03

Grow your money

₹10,000/month at 12% for 20 years becomes ~₹1 crore. You invest only ₹24 lakh — compounding contributes the other ₹76 lakh.

04

Salary & retirement

Your EPF silently invests 24% of your basic salary every month at 8.25% — most people never calculate what that becomes by retirement.

05

Big decisions

Rent a ₹1 crore home or buy it? At 12% market returns vs 6% property growth, renting wins by ~₹32 lakh over 10 years. Run your own numbers.

Calculator FAQs

Are these calculators really free?

Yes — all 20, with no sign-up, no limits and no catch. They run entirely in your browser.

Is my data stored anywhere?

No. Every calculation happens on your device; we never see, store or transmit the numbers you enter.

Can I use these results for tax filing?

No — these are planning illustrations. Tax rules have edge cases (surcharge, special incomes) we don't model. Verify against incometax.gov.in or consult a CA before filing.

Where do the formulas come from?

Standard financial mathematics. Each calculator page shows its exact formula, a worked numeric example and the source — AMFI methodology, RBI compounding conventions, or the Finance Act, as applicable.

Why do my bank's numbers differ slightly?

Day-count conventions, rounding and fee treatment vary a little between institutions. Differences should be tiny — if they're large, check your inputs.

📐 Our methodology

Every CashCrafty calculator shows its exact formula, a worked numeric example you can verify by hand, and its assumptions and sources — AMFI methodology for SIPs, RBI compounding conventions for deposits, the Finance Act for tax. Rates were verified in October 2026.

Results are planning illustrations, not financial advice. Markets vary, rates change, and tax rules have edge cases — always confirm important decisions against official sources.
